Benefits:

Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to eligible employees for the purpose of rest and relaxation from their duties and for attending to personal business.  PTO accrual based on 40 hours/week is equivalent to 10 paid vacation days, nine paid holidays, six short-term sick days per year; after five years of employment the vacation days increase to 15 paid days. Employees can accrue up to 320 hours of PTO.

Sick Leave accrual based on 40 hours/week is equivalent to 6 days per year.  Use of sick leave is for the employee’s own physical illness or injury, exposure to contagious disease or when attendance at work is prevented by public health requirements, the need to care for a dependent child or spouse or parent who resides with an employee or who is dependent upon the employee for support (prior approval required), any disability, including disability caused or contributed by pregnancy, miscarriage, abortion or childbirth or any unscheduled outpatient or inpatient surgery.

*Premium holiday. Employees who are scheduled to work on premium holidays are paid time and a half.
 Retirement:
 As a County Hospital District, contributions are paid to the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS). PGH is an employer paid contribution plan. Please contact Human Resources for more details. Social Security tax is not withheld for PERS eligible employees.

 Group insurance:
 Employer paid Medical, dental, life insurance ($15,000), and prescription coverage available for eligible employees.  Medical deductible and prescription co-pay reimbursement plan available for eligible employees.

 Employee Assistance Plan:
 PGH is contracted with Horizon Health Employee Assistance Plan Services to provide you and each of your eligible household members with access to professional assistance for the challenges of everyday living.

 403(b) / Tax Shelter Annuity:
 Contribution to this annuity plan is an optional benefit that can be deducted from payroll pre-tax.

Pre-employment Requirements:
 Original signed application, physical examination, 2 step PPD, background and fingerprint check, orientation through Human Resources and Department. A 180-day probationary period applies for all positions and status changes.
